Dennison Haines, M.D.
Dr. Cindy Haines is
Chief Medical Officer of HealthDay News, Managing
Editor of HealthDay-Physician’s Briefing and President of
Haines Medical Communications, Inc., a full service medical
communications and consulting firm serving over a dozen
well-known and respected clients within the medical
communications sector.
Dr. Haines earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology from
Saint Louis University. She went on to earn an M.D.
with Distinction, as well as a Geriatric Scholar’s Award,
from
Saint Louis University School of Medicine. |

Her residency in Family Medicine was with Family Medicine of
Saint Louis, after which she joined a St. John’s
Mercy affiliated medical practice. Dr. Haines is faculty and
staff at Saint Louis University School of Medicine where she
is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of
Community and Family Medicine. She is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians and is board
certified in Family Medicine. She was honored with election
to the National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and
Professionals in 2004, America ’s Top Doctors in 2007 and is
also a member of the International Mensa Society. Dr. Haines
is also very active in the community as Vice President of
the Board for the
Saint Louis
Academy of Family Physicians and Director of
Public Relations and Marketing for the
St. Louis
chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s
Association. Other organizations that Dr. Haines works with
on a volunteer basis include: Connections to Success "to
empower determined individuals with a plan and resources to
achieve economic self-reliance," Girls on the Run, an
organization which educates and prepares preteen girls for a
lifetime of
self respect and healthy living, and Friends of Wings
which provides all forms of support to children suffering
from life-threatening or life-limiting illness regardless of
ability to pay.
As a Board-Certified
Family Physician, Dr. Haines is well-versed in all
areas of health care. Special areas of concentration include
fitness, nutrition, and psychological health. Dr. Haines is
frequently called upon to provide expert commentary on
issues relating to diet, fitness and overall well-being. She
has produced several healthcare guides in affiliation with
leading institutions and is often asked to consult for
clinicians, agencies and companies throughout the country.

improve and elevate both the individual and our society at
